Cancellation Policy
Our goal is to provide timely and effective care to all our patients. To help us manage our appointment schedule fairly and efficiently, please review our policy below.Please reach out to the Emerald Medical Centre reception team on 03 5968 4622 should you ever need to advise of any appointment changes. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation — this policy ensures we can continue to provide quality care and fair access to all our patients.
Cancellations
- We require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
- Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the consultation cost.
- Providing adequate notice allows us to offer your appointment to another patient in need.
Failed to Attend (No-Show)
- If you do not attend your appointment and do not contact us beforehand, a full consultation fee may apply.
- Repeated non-attendance may result in being required to prepay future appointments or being discharged from the clinic.
Reminders
- Appointment reminders are sent by SMS as a courtesy, but it remains the patient’s responsibility to remember their scheduled day and time.
Fee payment
- Payment of any fees incurred will need to be settled before any future appointments can be confirmed.
- Please note that third party funders such as Medicare, private health insurance, TAC, NDIS or DVA do not provide funding for missed appointments. Any fees will need to be paid for by the patient.
